About me

Following an apprenticeship as cabinet maker, I got on the technological track with studies in Mechatronics (Dipl.-Ing. (FH), Bochum, 2006), Control Engineering (M.Sc. and Ph.D., Coventry, 2006 and 2013) as well as Mathematics (B.Sc., Hagen, 2007). During my Mechatronics degree, I was further apprenticed as a Tool and Die Maker.

I am fascinated by railways and live most of my everyday life without a car, being frequently found in trains, on my Brompton foldable bicycle and on cargo bikes.
